What can you tell me about stress and the menstrual cycle?

I'm curious about how one affects the other.

Stress can affect the body in many ways, including altering hormone levels, which, in some cases, can lead to irregular menstrual cycles in women. Conversely, in some women, menstrual symptoms and hormones can leave them less able to tolerate stress.

Well basically the hormones in your body are testosterone and estrogen. Women don't have that much testosterone as they do have estrogen. There is a lot of estrogen in the body. During pre menstruation the estrogen in your body fluctuates, causing more stress and pain in the body. That is what happens.
