This is a kind of bird that people can tame.It can be taught obedience training. They can socialize with people, speak, imitate sounds, whistle and learn tricks. These birds also cannot stay alone for too long. They need to always be with someone..the owner or other ring-necked parrots.

Ring necked parrots originated from India. They are green colored birds with red stripe on their necks. They can be Taught for those people who are willing to train them but if not given sufficient attention it may turn unobedient and unfriendly so if you want this bird to love you then you also have to love it back

Hand reared ring-necked parrots make excellent pet birds when handled properly. They are native to India but escaped pets have colonised various other parts of the world.

Socializing with these birds is a must! They can be taught to talk, make sounds, or even string beads. Approximately 15" in length, both sexes have a dozen large tailfeathers. Human interaction has to remain steady or they will quickly revert to wild state. Very active, their diet should include seeds, leafy green and orange veggies, and fruit. Requires perches.
