A pregnancy is indicated by an absence of a period. However, some women report a little bleeding (spotting) during the time they would normally bleed and they are actually pregnant.

Yes, it is possible that you can have a lighter period and still be pregnant. Most people ovulate about two weeks before their next period. It is also normal to have implantation bleeding about two weeks after ovulation. These two things combined mean that you may have some bleeding when you are expecting your period, even though you are pregnant.

Most women bleed a little in the beginning of the pregnancy and some can bleed throughout their pregnancies and that's okay too. It's very normal for some women, but if you feel like its a problem or it scares don't hesitate to go to your doctor.

This depends on how regular you are normally. If you never have a light period, then it is much more likely. The easiest way to tell is to take a pregnancy test. You can buy one that is accurate at a dollar store or get one at planned parenthood or another doctor (they are all the same urine test).
