What can you tell me about ferrets and Cheerios?

Cheerios are bad for ferrets. They are carnivores and cannot digest the fiber and starch in the cheerios. It basically goes through their systems untouched. One might be fine but too many and you risk bowel obstruction.

Ferrets wil almost certainly be attracted to and enjoy eating Cheerios; however, the cereal contains sugars which can lead to serious health problems such as pancreatic cancer. Don't give cheerios to your ferret, or at least, make it only a special and rare treat.

Ferrets may eat Cheerio's but Cheerios will never eat ferrets. In fact Cheerios may be a good source of bulk, and source vitamins your ferret needs. The danger however lies in the mess that a ferret can create, they are very mischievous critters, infact one bit my toe one day just for the fun of it!
