Caribbean weather is influenced by the Gulf Stream. The water is always warm due to the seasonal temperatures of 70 to 80 degrees. This is also why the Caribbean is plagued by so many hurricanes and tropical storms. It may be warm almost all year round but it is also very wet!

Caribbean weather usually consists of warm temperatures and at times some humidity. The weather in the Caribbean is excellent for vacationing, though some Caribbean locations are known for having bad hurricanes each year.

Caribbean weather is warm to tropical, depending on where in the island chain you are located. The closer to the Equator, the warmer it is. It is subject to frequent showers and many hurricanes in the May through November hurricane season. The Pacific ocean, by contrast, gets more rain but fewer hurricanes through out the year.
