Finch eggs generally take fourteen to sixteen days to hatch. They are bluish in color with a fine speckling. The nests are five to seven feet above the ground.

You'd need to be more specific as to what kind of finch. If you mean the House Finch, the nest is cup-shaped, usually made of twigs, leaves, moss and similar. I's usually located around 6 or 7 feet above ground, in a natural cavity. The eggs are tiny (less than 1 inch long) and light blue in color, with speckles.

Keep the nest low so the baby (if it hatches) doesn't fall out. Finches tend to lay more eggs than will actually hatch to don't be surprised if 1 out of 3 only hatches. The nest can be pretty small and two adults can easily fit into a tiny nest.
