Some dogs are insecure, shy as they are abused or abandoned in past. They are under constant fear. Give your dog some time to come out of insecurities.

If your dog has problems being alone make sure you kennel him before you go anywhere. The kennel will cause him to feel more secure. Put him in there with his favorite toy and blanket.

If you are patient with your dog and treat him or her with gentle love and care, he or she will eventually come out of his or her shell.

If I had an insecure dog, I would try and find out the reason for it. Whatever the reason lots of love and attention should help him feel better. Buying him some dog treats and rewarding him for a job well done can also help.
