Bee's cant really be repelled but avoid bright colors, perfumes, and eating outside. If you are gaurding your house setup a faux hive and it will prevent an infestation.

There are many bee repellents on the market. You can buy these products at any drugstore. If you are looking for a homemade bee repellent you can try a mixture of herbs like lemongrass, peppermint oil, and citronella. Bees are often attracted to bright colors and defined textures, so try and wear smooth fabrics and light colors.

Burt's Bees Herbal Insect Repellent is natural and safe to use as are mint, citronella and lemongrass oils. Eco-Blends Buzz Off is another. Outdoor sprays that have DEET in them can be sprayed on clothing and shoes and is very effective. Remember sugary foods and drinks attract bees as do plant smells.

You can use any form of deet spray found in your local supermarket. For adults, a one hundred percent deet spray6 is the best preventor of bee stings. For children, try using vinegar in a spray bottle.
