What can I expect from a Jack Russell mix?

I'm wondering if a mix will be as hyper as the purebred JRs.

Generally mixes are as hyper as purebred jack russells. The hyper gene seems to be dominant. Training and thinking toys can help alleviate a lot of the hyperness. Training and commands give the dogs a job to do and expends a lot of their energy.

Most Jack Russell mixes are highly active breeds. For traits can have wide variations when it comes to size, fur and temper. Mix breeds tend to move away from the purebred dog. There are mix breeds used for hunting, for companionship and even herding.

Jack Russels are bred for work and require exercise. A Jack Russel mix is no different, but crossed with a Yorkshire terrier may be a calmer and require less exercise.

I think that would depend on the breed of the other parent, but I think he will still exhibit most of the traits of a terrier.
