What can I do to treat a sore on my dog's paw?

My dog has injured his pay playing with other dogs and running in the back field, I would like to treat it myself but do not know what to do.

Wash thoroughly with warm water and mild soap and rinse with a dilute solution of peroxide, then leave it alone. Dog's ability to heal from wounds they lick is remarkable.

That has happened to my dog before and I just couldn't afford a vet bill. I took peroxiide and cleaned the wound. Then used neosporin and gauze to cover it.

One of our labradors loves running in the field and down the driveway, so he always comes home with a sore or injury. Try paw wax or udder ointment.

is the wound weeping? if so, purchase melonin(or sea weed)and banadage materials from the pharmacy, bath it in saline or hibertane and keep it bandaged for a few days. if it is not weeping then purchase some gauze and bandage materials, make sure to keep it clean and dry for a few days. will he let you clip the area?
