If you have a small lawn, you can pull out the clover by hand. For larger areas, weed killers containing phenoxy-type herbicide, 2,4-D, MCPP and dicamba salt may be necessary. The best way to prevent clover from growing in your lawn is to mow it to a high length, water regularly, and maintain an optimal pH level.

Purchase a goat; they love clover! Or you can visit the lawn care section in a store to buy something along the lines of a "turf builder". If there is a lot of clover, you may have to kill everything and reseed your lawn.
