Unfortunately, there can be many reasons two dogs don't get along. The first step you should take, if you have not, is having them spayed or neutered. Also, you need to let them know, through training, you are the pack leader. You can go to 'It's Me Or The Dog' website for free training videos on the subject.

If your two dogs don't get along, you have a few options. You could try to keep them apart by alternating one dog inside and one dog outside. You could also give one dog away.

You will need to give them time. Try walking them together with another person, Start them off far apart and then allow them to walk next to each other. You will have to do this for a period of time. You will want them to be apart for a period of time. You must establish yourself as the Alpha.

They may never get along. I suggest for now leave them in separate rooms when you're gone so they don't hurt each other. You can try spending time with both of them on the couch with you. They could be fighting because they think one dog has more attention.

One way is to figure out which dog is dominate and then treat that one as dominant to the other. Often when two dogs do not get along it is because they are struggling for dominance.
