There's a joke about a guy sticks a fork in his eye repeatedly and says to his doctor, "It hurts when I go like this." Why would you continue to do something that your body is screaming to tell you you shouldn't be doing?

Gargling with salt water before bed might help your burning throat. I would also suggest sucking on a lozenge, or cough drop. An antacid tablet may also help a burning throat if heartburn is also a problem.

New cigarettes are all FSC, or fire safe compliant. Complaints are building because of the new additives. Homerolling tobacco is your best bet, go to a tobacco shop for supplies.

Switch to a milder or menthol cigarette; take a drink water or some other beverage before you inhale; or simply swallow some saliva prior to inhaling to moisten your throat.

That's basically the best action you can take to relieving the burning pain in your throat. If you choose to continue smoking and you try something else to relieve the pain while you are still smoking the pain could either intensify or it could just temporarily relive it and come back later.

I know you don't want to consider quitting. It's probably scary to you. I watched my dad go through lung cancer. He had a lung removed and almost died. His life will never be the same. This should be much scarier. You can do it!

Good question. i find eating chocolate helps. it makes your phlegm a slimy, slippery texture. it lines the throat and is the best known method i have found to date. sounds unusual i know. keep in mind i have tried everything. nothing has been as effective as the chocolate method.
