What can I do if my refrigerator freezer keep icing up?

It is important to check the frost timer.You can do this by moving the frost timer to the defrost setting.Other ways to solve the problem is checking if the thermostat is working properly.You may need to replace the thermostat in the freezer.

Most fridges have a setting towards the back of the fridge just behind the top shelf. It's normally a dial and you just need to turn up the temperature so you don't get ice.

Well this is all because the settings of your fridge have been tampered with. In all honesty, you have to make sure that you lower down the settings from your fridge.

Check the defrost timer and see if it is set to defrost. Check the defrost heater. Inspect the coils for corresion. Make sure the multitester reads between 0 and infinity. If the above are working fine it could be the thermostat.

I have been told that rubbing the walls with oil will prevent condensation from building up and could consequently solve your problem. Also you might want to check the seal around your freezer. The cold air has to be meeting up with warm air in order to produce the condensation.

If it is an older model, you may have to defrost quite often to keep it ice-less. A newer model should be serviced.

You must check the heater element behind the rear panel inside the freezer. Unplug the unit, and remove rear panel inside the freezer, and look for a burned out heater element, as this needs to be replaced. You must also replace the heat sensor nearby, as this causes the heater element to turn on and off.
