There is no harm in leaving your printer drivers running. In fact, if you want to print at anytime you should probably leave it on. It does not take up a lot of memory and does not take a lot of the CPU's power so it should not inhibit you in any way.

What you have to do now is to install a software named driver sweeper and then clean the driver from it .

What is the HP driving for? A quick internet search for exactly what the error message is will probably give you instructions of how to fix the problem. You will probably be able to download a new driver and fix it.

When the computer is on press the alt, ctrl, and delete simultaneously to open the task manager. This should be universal with all Windows operating systems, even Vista. Once the task manger is open click on the processes tab and find the HP driver that is running and end process.

Shut down your computer, and restart in safe mode. That will allow you to find out what is causing it to run.

a driver is software used to support hardware - so if your computer is hooked up to an HP product, it the driver should be running all the time. If for some reason you need to stop a driver, you can uninstall it from the control panel, which is on the start menu.

Win7 doesn't support my net card on my motherboard. I'm using asus p5q. I've asked ASUS, and they told me not to try the Vista drivers because that may cause problems. And I asked them when they will provide Win7 drivers, and they said they don't know, either. Fortunately,I have another Realtek net card, and Win7 works well with it.

Hit ctrl+alt+delete and choose the task manager. Find the HP program and click end task. It may take several attempts, but it will stop the driver from running.
