Sometimes it's not the button that is touchy. Sometimes your garage will start to warp and it causes your garage door to have issues opening and closing. Sometimes it goes too fast or sometimes it gets stuck.
The best thing to do is replace the mgarage door wall button. There are usually easy to find and inexpensive. Some systems can even use a simple door bell button.
