First, make a trip to the vet to be sure there isn't a serious health problem involved. Your dog may be cold and shivering, if so, get a blanket. Or the dog may be dehydrated and having trouble with muscle cramps. Be sure the dog is getting plenty of water and quality food. If the dog gets lots of exercise and is just tired, try giving it a massage on its legs and see if that works.

You can try massaging the leg, use over the counter joint cream or you can look up common physical therapy exercises for broken or injured legs.

Make sure your dog is eating a healthy diet. Muscle spasms can be caused by a lack of potassium. Physiologically, potassium ions act as regulators of muscle control. A deficiency of potassium would cause a dog or even a human to have uncontrolled spasms. See your vet for further advice regarding this.

Talk to your vet, there is a good type of medication for this issue, I just cannot remember what the name of it is.

It could be neurological. It is possible for dogs to pull their muscle as they run around and play too much. I suggest you to take your dog to a vet and get it checked, sometimes allergies also causes spasms.
