Wash with soap and warm water, and wear clean underpants. If the sore does not go away, grows larger or oozes pus, or you get a fever, see a doctor.

The bump is likely a boil, body acne, or an ingrown hair. All of these can be treated effectively, and the pain reduced, by a hot salt water soak.

These bumps occurs because of excessive body heat or excessive toxins in the body. The heat and toxins comes out by a bump like structure in the skin. It can be treated with antibiotics oinment or medicines. It is also cured by applying capsicum plasters which keep them tight untill they get cured.

Sounds like a pilonidal cyst. I had one in sort of the same place (off set from the cleft) that I had removed a while ago. Your best bet is to see the doc, as you really can't determine what course of action they will take until they evaluate it.
