This is a disorder where an individual experiences night seizures during sleep. A person may fall into a deep sleep or lose consciousness after the seizure. This condition is manageable with diet, complete rest, and medication. Visit your doctor for more information. Diagnosis is determined through sleep studies including the use of an EEG or electroencephalogram test.

I assume you have seen a neurologist and therefore have the diagnosis of nocturnal epilepsy. If so, your doctor has likely given you seizure medication. If its not working, talk to your doctor about it. Epilepsy is a complex disease which sometimes requires changes in medication before it is completely under control.
