It would be better to take him to a vet to see what is really going on. It could be something serious, but it could be something minor that can be easily taken care of.

You should see your veterinarian. Pain medications or muscle relaxants may be necessary. Sometimes, just resting the animal will solve the problem.

If your dog has a pinched nerve and you think he is suffering you'll need to go to the vet and get some medicine especially for his size and problem. I can't think of anything besides some ice that would really help here. Remember pain medicines designed for people can be deadly to your pets.
