Your IPOD really should not skip at all unless it's being subjected to some kind of extreme shock. I have never had one skip during normal activities.

Ipods generally play the quality of the music imported. The files are probably corrupt (possibly from a scratched cd). Try repurchasing the music digitally. Try restoring the ipod and redownloading if problem persists.

If a song on your Ipod is skipping, it is normally due to a song on your computer. If you Upload a cd, or download a cd or song, sometimes it is from a scratched cd that will cause skipping on the ipod. You may need to download new songs.

Make sure you have the hold button slid over whenever you are listening to it. You may also want to check the bit rate on the music you are transferring.

ipods really don't skip because they operate differently from CD players. It could be that the content itself is of poor quality. I would check that first.

An ipod should never skip as it is playing a digital file. The problem is most likely the source. Try ripping your cds again and make sure they're clean.

You could try and coax it to walk instead or try to reason with it that it's skipping is embarrassing you and you would like for it to stop. You could also enroll it into a training or obedience school. If it does not comply then just get a new one.

It should not skip like that. If it has been doing this since you bought it, you should take it back to the store and exchange the old one for a new one.
