What can I do about a cat with liver failure?

Is there anything that can be done?

It depends on the cause. Failure due to poison or hepatic lipidosis can sometimes be reversed. Other liver problems are hard to diagnost and treat. If the liver itself is the problem (e. g. cancer), it probably is untreatable. Whatever the problem, you must work with your vet.

Just make sure they are comfortable until it appears that your cat is in pain. Enjoy what time you have left with your cat until it starts to lose interest in normal things like food and grooming or starts to sleep alot and meow abnormally.

Your cat can only be treated with drugs which can help your cat in proper digestion of the food items.

Any cat that has problems with their health should have vet help right away. There is probably something a vet can do to help your cat.
