Poor fuel or water in the fuel. A clogged fuel filter. A bad fuel pump. Bad fuel injectors can cause intermittent fuel related issues. A dirty air cleaner can also cause problems. A bad gas cap can let dirt or other substances into your fuel. Letting the fuel run completely out can cause fuel pump problems in the future.
