Cbt- cognitive behavioral therapy helps to overcome obssesions and compulsion in toddlers. Antidepresion medicines e. G. Clomipramine, fluoxetine, paroxetine can lessen the symptoms but does not treat the root cause and have more side-effects. Herbal therapy like st. John's wort, scullcap and valerian are also usufull and no side effects.

It really depends on the OCD your toddler is dealing with. Due to such a young age, I would not advise the 'exposure and response' technique because of trauma that may be caused. It's best to seek a medical professional for help and simply support your child through his or her difficulties.

the way i see it,OCD is not a life threatening thing, and as long as your toddler can function in the real world without medicine, then he should be fine. if he cannot function fully, then see a doctor who can fully examine him. usually OCD patients see a counselor but at his age i dont think this would help

Your child's doctor will probably recommend your toddler to someone who can give him therapy. While he may have OCD for ever there may be ways to help him cope.
