Sometimes side effects that are not desirable can occur. The best thing to do is discontinue giving it to your cat and try a different medication through your veterinarian.

I would recommend taking your cat to the vet to see what the cat can use as a substitute. You don't want you cat to overdose on the medications that he is taking so get some professional advice before buying anything new.

If your cat has a bad reaction to mirtazapine or any other drug, stop giving the medication to your cat, and advise the veterinarian of the reaction. Another medicine will need to be substituted and your cat should never take this medicine again.

cat had an extremely severe reaction, and since Mirtazapine takes a long time to clear from the cat's body, her cat's reaction lasted for around three days. A poison centre unable to offer any suggestions, had to wait for the drug to work its way out of her cat's system
