There are a lot of things that could work. Of course, the reason for your congestion is an important factor. If you just have a cold, an antihistamine or pseudopenephrine will help. If it is due to allergies, a medication like Zyrtec or Claritin can alleviate the problem.

You can turn on a humidifier to clean out your nose. You can also rub Vick's Vapor Rub underneath your nose. This will help out too. Drink hot tea too.

One of the best things, that I would recommend for a stuffy nose is Vicks Chest Rub. All you need to do is apply a little on your chest and a small amount right under your nose. You can re-apply it as often as you need to.

The best solution for a stuffed up nose is a nasal irrigator. Basically this device flushes out the nose so that mucous & irritants are removed. A nose generrally gets stuffed due to something you are allergic to. Flushing the nose gets rid of the allergens.
