Your first step will be take the dog to the vet. Once cause is determined, treatment can be prescribed. This could be a simple diet change, or a prescription.

Your vet may decide to go through a barrage of blood tests to check liver & heart function and in some cases, they may do an EEG. There are medications for epilepsy. In other cases, they may decide to wait and see what happens.

Your veterinarian will determine the reason for the seizures. A dog may have epilepsy, a tumor, nerve damage from an injury, etc. You can't address the problem until you know the cause of the seizures. Make an appointment with the vet. S/he will make a diagnosis and explain to you the various treatment options.

I had a black lab that was prone to seizures. Apparently the labrador breed often succumbs to epilepsy, its a common disease in the breed. Just like how a lot of Dalmations are deaf. When a seizue happens make sure the dog doesn't hurt himself by falling. The vet can give you (sell) anti seizure medication.

There are lot's of anti seizure medications available these days (generally once a day), speak to your vet about these. If you don't want to medicate, try things like diet change and excercise, lower stress levels. If they still occur then just make sure she can't hurt herself on anything and keep your fingers out of her mouth.

Seizures are there forever. A way to prevent an episode is by keeping the dog as calm as can be. Too much excitement can cause an episode.
