You could take the child to have a sleep study done. It would be rare for someone that age to have sleep apnea, but you may want to check it.

It depends on what type of disturbances you are talking about, but generally, a routine before bed can cut back on sleep issues. If you do not have a night light, they can also be beneficial, and so can giving them a favorite toy to sleep with. Make sure plenty of exercise is gotten, and try different bed times.

One way to help a child to sleep better at night is to always have a routine. Feed supper at a certain time everyday, then give the child a bath (this helps to relax them. After the bath take them to their room and read to them for about 20 to 30 minutes every night.

If you play music softly in a 2 year olds room the sound can drown out the other noise disturbances. Blackout curtains can prevent light from waking a 2 him.
