What can be done about favoritism in the workplace?

There isn't much that can be done about favoritism. It happens everywhere and can't be avoided. Just do the best job that you can.

depends on how large the company your working for is. my experience with little mom and pop companies is that favoritism is always a problem. in larger companies, things seem to be a bit more fair. you can file a complaint with your supervisor and if that doesnt work, file a complaint with someone higher up.

Learn to accept the fact that favoritism will always exist in human relationships. You should not get too worked up about it. It is a fact of life that we all have to live with. Just shrug it aside and continue doing your work diligently. Getting worked up about favoritism is not worth the time nor the effort.
