The cage must be fully latch/lockable, have a water bottle(not a bowl but a 'hamster' style bottle), and a food dish. All items in the carrier must securely attach to the sides of the cage. One dog per cage. Some airlines require a muzzle, and full papers proving shot updates and good health.

If you are going to bring Fido on board, a general rule is the carrier must fit underneath the passenger seat and have a waterproof bottom. If being transported in the cargo area, the container must allow Fido to stand and turn around, be made of sturdy plastic, and be vented on all sides. Check with the airline first!
