What are the various forms of arthritis?

I thought there was only one kind but that isn't true.

There are many forms of arthritis including the following: Rheumatoid arthritis – This is an inflammatory condition and the most common form of arthritis. Osteoarthritis – This form of the condition is associated with ageing. Reactive arthritis – Arthritis that occurs after injury. Lyme disease – Bacterial form of arthritis. Harmful organisms are transmitted by a deer tick bite.

There is more than 100 kinds of artritis, some more serious than others. Osteoarthritis is one of the most common types. Rheumatoid is the crippler that can land you in a wheelchair and it also affects your other body systems. Gouty arthritis is more commonly a male type. Any constant joint pain should be checked out.

Rheumatoid arthritis is an inflammation of the body organs and tissues. Septic arthritis is even more dangerous; a person with septic arthritis should seek immediate assistance. Gout often affects the toe.

Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease of the joints, often affecting those in middle age and older. It is not inflammatory. The most common type of arthritis is Rheumatoid. Inflammation can develop at any age and is more often found in women than men. Traumatic arthritis is caused by an injury to the hip and subsequent loss of blood supply.
