Medical schools usually post profiles of the recent incoming class, including GPA, MCAT scores and undergrad majors. There are a number of websites that give helpful overviews of what is expected. With the threat of Obamacare looming, current lofty admission standards will be dumbed down dramatically as the best of the best opt for other fields that are not government-controlled.

Aside from a good GPA you will need to complete, with a grade of "B" or better the chemistry sequence courses beginning with Chemistry One and ending with Organic Chemistry Two. Calculus is also a common prerequisite.

To gain entrance to a medical school you will first have to achieve an undergraduate degree, usually in some sort of medical-related field. Then you will have to take the MCAT. You will also need to participate in a good interview and demonstrate leadership qualities.
