What are the types of military discharge?

I want to know this before I enter the military.

There are five categories of military discharges. Honorable, General (under honorable conditions), Other than Honorable, Bad Conduct, and Dishonorable. Only Honorable and General discharges are eligable for benefits after discharge.

Discharges are as follows: Honorable, General under Honorable Conditions, General, Bad Conduct, Dishonorable. These are listed from best to worse. As long as you do a good job and dont commit any major violations, most of the time a Honorable discharge is issued.
