The top ten most popular dogs in my opinion are the Labrador retriever a great family dog. German Shepard used by police. Boxers, very popular as guard dog. Bull Dog, very expensive and popular dog. Poodle,great show dog. Pug,great small indoor dog. Chihuahuas,small dog but more of a one person dog. Shih-tzu,great inside family dog.

According to the American Kennel Club, in 2009 the top ten dogs were Labrador Retrievers, German Shepherds, Yorkshire Terriers, Golden Retrievers, Beagles, Boxers, Bulldogs, Dachshunds, Poodles and Shih Tzus. It is important to note that the Labrador Retriever has consistently held the number one spot for the past ten years.

Labrador Retriever,Smart and mild manner. Yorkshire Terriers,they have beauty, and a fiery disposition. German Shepard, protective nature, and intellect. Golden retrievers,have a mild temper. Beagles, happy nature and hunting prowess. Boxers,A natural protector, Boxers are also athletic. Dachshunds, have heightened senses and friendly nature Bulldogs,are even- tempered. Poodles, are the smartest of all the breeds. Shih tzus, are Loving pets

According the American Kennel Club the top 10 are (in this order): Labrador retriever, German shepherd, Yorkie, Golden retriever,beagle, boxer, bulldog, dachshund, poodle and shih tzu.
