Some of the most popular Food Network stars have published cookbooks for kids. Sandra Lee wrote, "Semi-Homemade Cool Kids' Cooking," and Rachael Ray has penned "Cooking Rocks! Rachael Ray's 30 Minute Meals for Kids." Either of these books would provide a great introduction to cooking for kids.

I found the Manga cookbook to be a good choice, everything is mainly illustrated so its easier to understand. Look for cookbooks with a lot of picture by picture directions if they're really young. Otherwise something like Betty Crocker Kids Cook is a good one. Definitely try to let them do some easy recipes first.

Emril's "There's a Chef in my Soup," Rachael Ray's "Cooking Rocks! Rachael Ray's 30-minute Meals for Kids," and Marion Cunningham's "Cooking With Children" are all fantastic cookbooks for someone looking to introduce their children to cooking.
