Symptoms of thrush are white patches, that look like cottage cheese or milk curds, which stick to the inside of the mouth and tongue. Babies may also be fussy and reluctant to eat. If in doubt, take your baby to the pediatrician.

A visible white and creamy substance found on your baby's vaginal orifice would indicate presence of a yeast infection or thrush.
