As it is a prescription anti-sleep drug, the most common symptom of Provigin withdrawal is sleepiness or drowsiness. Because it is not as harsh a stimulant as other similar drugs (like Ritalin), the side effects and withdrawal symptoms are not as severe. Users are less likely to both become addicted and to experience difficult withdrawal.

Actually, as it turns out, no withdrawal symptoms were noted in studies of Provigil. Anecdotal evidence suggests that users who stop taking the drug will experience returned tiredness, though.

I was told to stop my Provigil 2 weeks ago. I am dazed & confused, sleepy, trembling and fall a lot. So with some people withdrawal is hell.

Provigil reportedly does not have a wide range of withdrawal symptoms. The most common withdrawal symptom of Provigil is sleepiness since it is a drug to stimulate the system. It does not cause nervousness. Few have reported skin sensations and disturbing thought patterns. You should always check with your doctor if you are having unusual symptoms from stopping a medication.

Provigil is a drug used to treat sleepiness/ Provigil when stopped does not have any withdrawal symptoms. One will just go back to feeling the way they did before Provigil.

My husband and I stopped for a week, didn't know what hit us, slept all the time. He struggled to work and finish the day, I could hardly keep my eyes open. We thought it might be bug. Back on Provigil and all is well. Immediately.

I think the reports are bunk that there are no withdrawl symptoms. Symptoms are less severe, as it's works differently than drugs such as Ritalin. Yes, stopping the med will leave you tired like before Provigil. But stopping Provigil leaves you more than tired-irritable, mild depression, even mood swings.
