The most serious allergic reactions affect your breathing or making your throat/tongue swell. Also among the more serious are stomach/digestion allergies (severe vomiting/diarrhea), and hallucinations (common with bed bug bites)

Mild airborne allergies might cause runny nose and itchy, watery eyes. Severe reactions could include hives, difficulty breathing, swelling, unconsciousness, and/or death. Those symptoms would obviously require immediate medical attention.
