What are the small bugs that hang around the bathtub drain?

These little bugs are driving me up the wall, what are they?

The bugs could be one of any number of insects. All bugs need water. If the bathtub provides the closest water source, that's where they'll be. Have an exterminator investigate to make sure you don't have an infestation in the floor or wall. Put a sample of the bugs in a baggie.

They are fruit flies coming from the drainage pipes. Home remedy is to place a small bowl 1/2 full with apple cider vinegar mixed with some liquid dishwashing soap.

That depends upon what they look like. They could be silverfish if they are sort of silver, wiggly, and speedy. Silverfish are usually about 1/2 inch long and do not have a hard shell. They look a little like a worm.

The little bugs that hang around the bathtub drain are called drain fly or drain moth. These bugs love stagnant water. Keep the area around the drain dry.
