High dosage of Armour thyroid may cause hyperthyroidism and has serious side-effects like Heart Failure, Insomnia, Hair loss, Muscle weakness, Fertility problems, Anxiety and High blood pressure. It can cause allergic reactions like itching or swelling. Consult a doctor if you develop any of these symptoms to decrease the dose.

Some side effects are heart palpitations, a tachycardia, labored breathing, increased appetite, a fever, and hypertension. The list continues. These side effects are long and can also be symptoms of other infections or causes. Some can be severe as the broken bones and diarrhea but others can be a simple annoyance.

Side effects are only common when the dose is to high. Some of the side effects include but are not limited to insomnia, anxiety, high blood pressure, emotional changes, heart palpitation. If your doctor monitors you closely, he will notice any changes and will change the dose if one occurs.

You should only develop side-effects if you take more than a normal dosage, but the most common ones are heart palpitations, sweating, and insomnia - essentially the signs of HYPERthyroidism.
