Yes. This medicatiion has been known to cause yeast infections in some women. Other side effects may include upset stomach, diarrhea, fever, sore throat, and rashes. Please get emergency help for these less common reactions: allergic reactions which include hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Some possible side effects are nausea, dizziness, headache, vaginitis, low platelets and white cell count, elevated liver enzymes and elevated BUN. A yeast infection can occur under the breasts or in folds of skin, as well as in the vagina; however, it is not normal.

Common side effects are headache, muscle/joint pain, and heartburn. However, because Cephalexin is an antibiotic, it is very likely that this could cause a yeast infection. If you have any vaginal discharge, be sure to see a doctor.
