What are the "savage inequalities" discuss by Kozol?

It has something to do with schools.

Kozol is describing the inequalities between suburban schools, which have good teachers, well-maintained buildings, and lots of money, and schools in poor neighborhoods, which are often educational slums.

In his book, "Savage Inequalities: Children in America's Schools," Johnathan Kozol describes the different treatment and levles of education offered to students based on race. He observed that schools with minority majorities were in much worse condition, both in terms of facilities and quality of teachers, books, etc.
