The pros of vegetarianism is that fruits and vegetables are good for you and are filled with a lot of the nutrients that your body needs. The cons are that your body needs other things as well such as protein and other things that are found mainly in meat.

Vegetarianism is heart healthy and benefits the cardiovascular system among other benefits. However the real risk is getting enough daily amounts of calcium and protein. It is difficult for even the most knowledgeable person to eat the correct amounts. Careful daily meal planning with adequate amounts of protein and calcium is essential.

The pro of being a vegetarian is that you consume little or no animal products. It depends on if you eat fish. If eating another living creature bothers you than this is a pro. You also ingest less fat with a vegetarian diet. The cons would be the protein factor. Many vegetarians lack enough protein in their diet.
