One egg white has no fat, cholesterol, carbohydrates, fiber or sugar. With only sixteen calories, 55mg of sodium and four grams of protein it is a very healthy alternative to whole eggs. For those who are trying to get the maximum amount of nutrition from the fewest calories, egg whites are a great choice.

Egg whites are very high in protein. They are lower in fat and cholesterol than egg yolks are, but for the full benefit of the egg, you should eat both.
