Any position that requires handling, or coming into contact, with information that could jeopardize National security of the United States and/or it's allies. There are literally thousands of jobs in each branch of the military that requires various levels of security clearance, depending on the necessary access and the type of information that is then available. All information is classified as either "confidential," "secret" or "top secret." Access to information determines what kind of clearance is required.

I had a security clearance for loading bombs and troubleshooting the weapons systems on the fighter jets. Basically anything with a jet will get you a security clearance pass.
