What are the maximum amps you can run through a 10-gauge wire?

If you are using this for a normal application and not for a motor that has start up amp provisions you can safely run 30 amps through a 10 gauge wire. You would breaker it with a 30 amp breaker.

Depending on the resistance in the wire and the distance you are running the wire, the American wire guage table lists 10 at 55 amps.
