The basics in hockey is simple. Score more goals than the other team. But to do so, you need six players on the ice, one goalie, two defenders, and thre wingers. The goalie and two defensemen are there to stop the other team from scoring, while the three wingers are trying to help you score.

In hockey, the object is to score on the opposing teams net, by shooting the puck with your stick, and beating the goaltender. On the ice, each team will have a goaltender, two defenceman and three forwards: one center, one left winger and one right winger. You play on the ice with skates.
