What are the dimensions of standard sizes of paper?

I mean like the paper you can just go to the store and purchase right off the shelf; not custom stuff.

It depends. For example for a A4 paper, the dimensions are 210 x 297 mm. If you want to print this kind of paper you will need 90 g/mp of light paper.

I am pretty sure the average paper (like the one you use for printers) is 12 inches by 9 inches. These are just blank sheets of paper, and I think some lined paper can vary in size by a few centimeters. This 12" by 9" paper is also referred to as A4 paper, which I think has the same dimensions.

Standard paper sizes in the U.S. are 'letter' 8.5 x 11 inches; 'legal' 8.5 x 14 inches; and 'ledger' 17 x 11 inches.
