When looking at cleats you have 3 different types, low-top, mid-top and high-top. Some sports will let you switch from one type of cleat to the other, such as in baseball you can wear soccer cleats but in soccer you cannot wear baseball cleats because of the longer metal tip.

Most cleats are essentially the same; the main divisions occur between soccer cleats, baseball cleats, and football cleats. I wouldn't use baseball cleats for soccer if at all possible - baseball cleats are designed to provide traction on dirt, while soccer cleats are designed for grass. Baseball cleats will work, but not nearly as well

I suggest that you purchase cleats for soccer. Baseball cleats are intended for dirt. If money is too much of an issue you can get away using the same cleats.

There are many different types of cleats, for various sports. Soccer cleats may not be used for baseball, as soccer is played on strictly grass. Baseball cleats are typically spiked.

You cannot use baseball cleats for soccer because most baseball cleats have metal spikes where as soccer cleats have plastic spikes. Soccer cleats are more flexible, and have a different toe makeup than that of a baseball cleat. They are vastly different.

Three basic types of cleats: SG (soft ground), FG ( firm ground), and HG (hard ground). Each one is specific to the terrain it should be played on, the most common is the firm ground cleat. Do not use baseball cleats for soccer; however, you can use soccer cleats for baseball.

Feel, support, cleat length, material and spacing are all important as folks have said, but the most relevant issue is that baseball cleats have a toe spike at the very front of the shoe. This front spike is not found on soccer shoes and would be prohibited by the rules.

The cleats have to do with the spacing of the spikes. You could use baseball cleats for soccer, but soccer spikes are further apart.

There are cleats for every major sport out there, including soccer, baseball, softball and football. You can use the same cleats for the different sports as the turf is different.

There are many different types of cleats that you can purchase for sports. For example, there are high-top cleats that provide ankle support, and low tops that do not. The cleats may have molded cleat bottoms or screw in cleat bottoms. Baseball cleats usually have the screw in bottoms, while soccer cleats are molded.

Metal baseball cleats cannot be used for soccer. Plastic or rubber baseball cleats may be used, but are not ideal due to a slightly different spike pattern on soles.

In baseball there are metal cleats or rubber cleats. Baseball cleats cannot be used for soccer. Soccer cleats do not have a toe cleat but baseball cleats do. Toe cleats are illegal in soccer.
