What are the characteristics of the Echinodermata?

They are sea animals who have spines or spicules of varying degree's on their skin, they are also radially symmetrical in their adult form, an example would be a starfish.

The larvae of echinoderms are bilaterally symmetrical and the adults are radially symmetrical. Echinoderms follow the deuterostome pathway of development and have a primitive nervous system and no distinct brain.
